My son wants to be a garbage truck driver when he grows up.
Every Thursday the garbage truck comes to pickup the garbage and it usually comes at the time when we leave for school/work.VK has been so fascinated by the truck. He loves to see the truck automatically pickup the bin, tip the contents and put the bin back down.Two weeks ago, he goes “Amma I want to be a garbage truck when I grow up”. So I explain you can’t be truck as it a machine and you are human.
He took few minutes to digest it and goes “Ah well ... I will be that truck driver”
And just when I thought it was a passing phase and he had forgotten all about the garbage truck,This morning he heard the truck, ran out and waited till the truck finished its job for few houses and only then would he get into the car.
He sat down in the car and said” Amma can you get me a garbage truck toy”
Now where do I go find that?

delurking.. you can find the toy in the usual places like target, toysrus or their equilvalent in the country where you live.

@Gayathri: Welcome here and thanks for delurking ! He doesnt want a simple dump truck.. he wants one with the crane mechanism thingey that moves up and down automatically...maybe with a driver on it as well.. I havent seen anything like that in the stores.

I'm talking about the average model of a garbage truck. I got one for my son who is(was) also crazy abt garbage trucks. this one has a bin too which by pressing the lever is taken up, dumped and brought back. Its more close to the UK model, i'm not quite sure how the US(i'm assuming you live there) ones are. I can post one for you if you like. You can send your details to my email id. you might want to look in amazon. although better models are found on the amazon.co.uk and cheaper too.
