I am Alive

It is now 2 months since I quit my job and became a complete SAHM.There was this nagging feeling to spend more time with VK and hence I took the plunge.These 2 months have been a roller coaster with loads of fun. There have been days when I want to pull my hair and scream, however they were only far and few.

From having sleep-ins  in this cold weather, to be able to cuddle him as when I want, to impromptu shopping trips ,to getting to know cartoons other than Tom and Jerry and Wiggles, to hear him talk dime to dozen it has been totally worth it.

I have been reading blogs just when I could have that “My time”. There have been so many instances when I have wanted to write something but with him sitting on my lap and typing his ABCs, I couldn’t type even a sentence. And when I come back to write, the moment has passed.

I am finally making that much awaited India trip. VK and I will be in Chennai for 2 months. We leave next week and Hubby will join us for the second month. With a friend’s wedding, nephew’s upanayanam, and the usual temple visits it is going to be an action packed trip.

I have started losing sleep thinking about the flight journey. VK’s last flight experience was pretty bad and to think that I would have to handle him all by myself this time scares me totally. Considering he is a little older this time and with us talking to him about it, maybe it would be all ok. I just hope and pray so. I am completely excited by the fact that I don’t have to carry bottles and sterilizers and baby food this time. And yes we are now fully toilet trained and hence no more nappies. Yippee !!
