I have been planning to write VK updates for a long time.., I was trying to align it with his monthly birthdays… but it never worked as I would get busy or completely forget about it. This has been happening for a few months now and have realized that if I just postponing it, I will never write. Due to my laziness, we were missing out his developments.
In the last month or so, he suddenly started talking heaps... it changed from gibberish talk to meaningful words. He has been showing so much interest in learning new things. He can count from one to ten and recognize them. He also can identify alphabets (not all the 26 yet). He has become so obsessed with alphabets and numbers that he blabbers them in his sleep too. Paati (my mom) should be given her due credit here. She has been the one to encourage him and teach him new things everyday.
Our contribution as parents has been minimal except for writing impositions .Yup... Impositions that I never wrote even when in school!!We have this doodle-pro board and he bring it to us and asks us to write from 1-10 and A-Z. He identifies each one of them and once done, he erases the board and we start afresh. He does this for about 10 times every evening with each adult. Beyond that, we get insane, refuse to write... And say “No Vk... we are done’... Boy !! He cries so much when we take the board away. Eventually we start feeling guilty that we are not helping him learn and hence we start the writing business again. And Nope he never gets bored or tired of it.
This is how our evenings were for a month and now its to the game where he utters one number and we the next and this goes on till ten and then we clap and start again. I really was hoping that he would move forward from these and just when we got tired of monosyllable words, out of the blue this weekend he utters “ Amma tha ma!!!” in a proper requesting mode when asking me for something.. YAY! Hopefully we will hear sentences from now on instead of the boring tvonne, thoo, thee, foe, fise, shish, savan, taight, nayan and then !

How cute...can imagine him do just that! And what can be a better job than write the letters and numbers for him ;-)

Hold on to that "tvonne, thoo, thee, foe, fise, shish...."
Another year , and what you would not give to hear that babyspeak again. So stop wishing for sentences now.
@Sole: maybe then will drop him over on weekends and you can write for him :-)
@Art: he is fast.. i used to think he was slow but suddenly there is this big leap to learn everything.

@SGM: I know.. i worry about it too.. at the same time hearing it over and over and over again ...makes it boring now.
numerals have never sounded so cuddly cute :)
@Kodi's Mom: it sounds cute.. really cute!! but when you hear it all day and even in your sleep.. you start getting bored...and start counting that way too!!
