Mera number kab aayega ?

… Was probably what Hubby was thinking for a long time.
And it has finally come now.

Then: VK used to call out for Amma in his sleep and I just had to respond that “Amma ingha iruken kanna” (Amma is here dear) and he would then drift peacefully to sleep.
Now: These days Amma has been replaced by Appa.

Then: When we return from office, he would come screaming Amma, till my mom opens the door and would give me that beautiful smile.
Now: He calls for his Appa when my mom opens the door and runs behind his Appa and doesn’t even acknowledge a poor soul called Amma.*sob..sob*

The tables have turned and suddenly Amma doesn’t seem all that important in the little man’s life.Appa seems more fun and he plays with him all the time.
He has realized that Appa can bat with just his hands in response to his throwing aka Bowling. (Poor VK... doesn’t know yet that Appa will never pass the bat to him and so he has to bowl all his life).Appa is atleast not boring like Amma who ducks under the covers when balls are aimed at her.

If anyone out there is wondering how the poor Mom is coping with it, She is green with jealousy and is fretting and fuming inside while acting all normal outside. Nah!!!... She is not that bad… truly speaking… she is a little jealous however she is happy to see the two men of her life bond and is secretly planning what to do with all the free time.

From experience, it will turn again! It used to be me, then went to dad and now its back to me :-) So, whatever you are planning to do, do it quick ;-)

very late in coming here,VJ!Enjoyed reading the post and felt empathetic!

An advise from an wicked mom-take a few days off from work and invest all your time and energy in some serious brainwashing and some bribing....you'll see the tables turning back in no time and life will be greener!
Although of late I'm experiencing some shift in loyalty...*the wicked mom sulking*!!
