VK Talk

VK will not repeat a word when we teach him. He actually would listen and look at us intently but will never repeat it straightaway... No matter how much we try.
However when we have completely forgotten about it, he would use them in the correct context. Below are the words that were mastered this week and have finally been uttered by our little man.

Tha: meaning Give.
He usually asks with his head nodding and hands in a asking gesture… its actually really cute when he does it... Hubby and I just love it and we try to imitate this much to the amusement of the rest of the passengers in the train.
I digress... Anyways I wanted him to start asking and hence when he asked me for something few days ago, I said VK Tha sollu (ask) and tried to do it several times.. He looked at me for long time but never repeated it. Eventually I gave up.
However next day, he came running to me and asked Tha. He voiced it as well as hand gestured... I didn’t realize it at that moment and gave him what he wanted... however couple of minutes later… I went oh my God. He said it.!!!
I tried asking him to repeat it... but he had long disappeared from the scene.

Tanum means Kanum (translated cant find or disappeared)
He actually also has his hand wriggled and says this when he can’t find what he wants.

Taashh and sometime Aashh meaning Aachu (translated as over)
He says this when he has finished his milk or when credits start rolling at the end of his Baby Einstein DVD.

Tish means fish
Bhavu mean Pal (translated Milk)
Baaoon means Balloon
Tee means Tree
Cheesh meaning Cheese

Earlier baa used to mean ball or milk or balloon but now he is kind a starting to understand the difference and tries to emulate what we say ... not too far away till he gets the syllables right !!!
